COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you open the can.

How much area does a gallon of ProClassic cover?

The data sheet declares 350-400 sq ft per gallon per coat at the recommended film thickness. With the practical reference of 375 sq ft/gal, one gallon covers a typical set of doors and trim in an average room.

Is ProClassic good for kitchen cabinets?

Yes — it is one of the most used cabinet enamels in the US because it dries hard, levels well and resists yellowing. Proper degreasing, sanding and primer matter more than the paint itself.

Waterborne acrylic or acrylic-alkyd?

Both are water-based and clean up with water. The acrylic-alkyd version levels even more like an oil paint; the pure acrylic has lower odor and faster recoat.

How is this different from the paint calculator?

Here you see the coverage of one specific product per container. The calculator converts your actual square footage into a purchase in gallons, quarts and pails.

Orientative data with manufacturer sources. Actual coverage depends on the surface, the tool and the application technique.
