COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you open the can.

How many square feet does a gallon of BEHR Premium Plus cover?

The technical data sheet declares 250-400 sq ft per gallon per coat depending on application method and surface porosity. With the PintaClaro practical reference of 350 sq ft/gal, a gallon covers about 175 sq ft with two coats on a real wall.

How much paint for a 12×12 bedroom?

A 12×12 room with 8 ft ceilings has about 384 sq ft of wall (minus doors and windows). At 350 sq ft/gal per coat and 2 coats, you need roughly 2.2 gallons — buy 3 gallons or one 5-gallon if painting several rooms.

Is BEHR Premium Plus really paint and primer in one?

Yes, it includes primer properties and performs well over previously painted or prepared surfaces. On bare drywall, heavy stains or dramatic color changes, a dedicated primer still gives a more even result.

How is this different from the paint calculator?

Here you see the coverage of one specific product per container. The calculator converts your actual square footage into a purchase in gallons, quarts and pails.

Orientative data with manufacturer sources. Actual coverage depends on the surface, the tool and the application technique.
